I’m running for Sanford City Council because this is my home, and I want to help shape what comes next. My family and I have built our life here. I graduated from Sanford High School, we raised our son here, and I have spent nearly 25 years in public service. Over the years, I have also had the opportunity to serve Sanford through local boards, community organizations, volunteer work, and neighborhood projects. Those experiences have taught me that strong communities are built when people are willing to listen, ask good questions, work together, and get involved. I’m not running because I think I have all the answers. I’m running because I care deeply about Sanford and believe I can contribute. I want to bring a thoughtful, practical, people-centered approach to the Council, one that considers the long-term impact of our decisions and remembers that public trust belongs to the people. I want to serve as both a councilor and a neighbor.
Sanford needs to grow without continually placing more pressure on homeowners and renters. I want earlier and more transparent budget discussions, clearer distinctions between needs and wants, and long-term planning that helps control costs rather than reacting to them year by year.
Have questions or suggestions? I would love to hear from you!
